Highlander Tournament
Posted by Admin on May 14, 2018
For those who know me, or follow my blog and social sites you’ll know my main passion, aside from my business is Polocrosse after being introduced in my teens it’s a bug that bit and never let go!
Last year I took a year out from playing. My main horses took advantage of lounging out in the fields, getting fat and going on steady rides during the summer months, this year however with thanks to my partner and some late finishes the girls are fit and ready to play competitive polocrosse.
The Highlanders tournament took place last weekend in Pershore so pretty much home turf. The tournament is run over the Saturday and Sunday with players competing from E to A grade. The games are fast, full of agility, power and suppleness. Horses are agile power houses that can make it across the pitch was rider in a matter of seconds, from the blow of whistle a player can go to goal within 30 seconds.
If you want to find out more about getting involved with Polocrosse or just the opportunity to watch a game for yourself why not contact the UKPCA here the family friendly atmosphere would welcome any supporters/ budding players. For those in the Cotswold surroundings contact Dan at Cotswold here for more information.
